LM Information Delivery supports Library Choice

LM Information Delivery is pleased to support the international Library Choice-initiative. Library Choice is designed to facilitate the work of libraries by allowing them to use an agent when subscribing to large e-packages through consortium.

Library Choice improves the co-operation between publishers, subscription agencies and library consortiums. With Library Choice, libraries are free to place orders directly with the publisher, consortia or preferred agent.

Library Choice enables libraries to take advantage of publisher deals, in terms of price and features, whilst remaining free to order through preferred channels and retain valuable agent services which help them achieve their information access and management goals. Publishers involved in the initiative understand library’s need for support as the management of growing e-collection is both difficult and time consuming.

When a subscription agent helps in management and subscription processes of large e-packages, libraries can concentrate on their main tasks, providing better service for their customers.

The Association of Subscription Agents & Intermediaries (ASA), which includes all major subscription agents, supports Library Choice. LM Information Delivery is a member of ASA.
