Key to success in UK markets is the local service and industry knowledge

In the UK market area the key for success is to strengthen the relationships with local customers by enhancing presence locally and by providing local customer service.

In 2010 LM information Delivery was selected as one of the three preferred partners for London Universities Purchasing group for subscriptions services in UK.

New recruits of LM Information Delivery for UK operations are: Tony Roche as Director, Simon Jackson as Sales & Account Manager and Carol Sherwood and Vicki Bowden, as Account Executives.

Tony Roche, the new Director of LM Information Delivery in UK has held senior management positions with International Subscription Agents for many years. Tony Roche is presently a member of the Association of Subscription Agents executive committee and a member of the United Kingdom Serials Group (UKSG). Both of these organizations are involved with the management and dissemination of information in all aspects of the print and electronic world within the academic, corporate, research, medical and public library worlds.

LM has recruited these professionals due to their extensive experience within the information services industry. Janne Järvinen, Group CEO believes that their collective knowledge and expertise will have a really positive and recognizable impact for customers and the level of services they have hitherto been receiving.

“LM Information Delivery has an ideal opportunity to establish itself as an alternative provider to the UK incumbents. Recent Consortia tendering success in the UK proves that LM Information Delivery is competitive, has a profitable position and is well placed to attract increased business from the UK market,” says Tony Roche, Director.

New service solutions and ERAMS products to UK markets

LM Information Delivery introduces competitive pricing and complete set of e-resource management and assessment services to customers in UK that will increase their cost-efficiency and achieve better control over their electronic and print collections.

The office will play an important role in serving LM’s expanding customer base in the UK markets providing libraries access to latest ERM technologies and to the expertise that supports them.

LM recognises the changing environment of the library world, being driven by increased technological complexity, rapid and changing growth in contents, and the consequent need for greater levels of service customisation and local customer service as prime reasons for the creation of LM Information Delivery UK.
